The challenge
Canterbury Bankstown City Council approached CCE requesting professional development training in Change Management, specialising in Kotter’s Change model. CBCC requested that the course be customised in order to exclude some case studies, and replace them with others. The course was to be run for 25 participants, and in an online/ remote format, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our solution
CCE, in collaboration with our facilitator John Le Mesurier, was able to develop a modified version of our publicly available Change Management Course, to include Kotter’s Change model, and exclude examples regarding Kurt Lewin, McKinsey, PROSCI and Gene Hall.
Through the use of Zoom, CCE was able to deliver this training remotely, in the form of a real-time interactive webinar with participants communicating directly with the facilitator and among each other. This allowed for group activities and engaging participation.
Facilitator_

View profileThe outcome
Change programs became even more prominent due to the COVID-19 crisis across the council area. Changes happening across the business layered upon change impacting staff due to COVID. The course provided a change model to enable new and existing staff to handle and manage change in their daily work, as well as long term projects. The training introduced participating staff to the model facilitating the transition to ‘new normal’ business operations. This included: working from home, working from a variety of locations, and in an environment of constant change.
