About the Career and Capability Framework?

The Career Capability Framework (CCF) identifies core capabilities which reflect the University’s strategic purpose, mission and values and professional capabilities which are non-technical and underpin the requirements of a professional role.

The CCF Professional Guide describes every Capability at each Proficiency level, defined as follows:

    • Foundational: Understanding the fundamentals of the capability, and delivering the individual’s work within specific parameters of research, area of study, or function.
    • Intermediate: Applying the capability through practical experience and knowledge, and the ability to explain and articulate the capability to others.
    • Advanced: Contributing to and driving activities at an innovative/strategic level, managing an area, with deep knowledge and understanding of the study or discipline area.
    • Expert: Leading and driving strategic level activities for the University, providing deep knowledge and experience on trends and best practices, and making a global impact.
