Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)


The aim of this course is to consolidate and improve knowledge through the development of speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, further to those gained in previous courses. More complex grammatical structures will be introduced in order to improve all essential language skills.


Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Prepare a government report.
  2. Discuss alternative transport options such as car-sharing.
  3. Express what they like and don’t like about their jobs.
  4. Speak about the experience of working and living in a foreign country.
  5. Use the newly introduced and revised grammatical structures more confidently.


This course covers the following topics:

  • Talking about family life
  • Talking about work
  • Talking about the environment
  • Discussing current affairs and art

Intended Audience

Suitable for A2 level students, those who have completed all levels of German up to 301 or who have completed 220 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.

Delivery Style

The course is delivered as a series of interactive sessions where active participation is encouraged. Each session is conducted in a friendly and relaxed classroom setting.
