If you want to learn to speak Japanese, our Japanese classes are ideal for adult learners to enjoy a practical and social experience while you learn Japanese language and culture. Learn Japanese the smart way with Japanese courses at CCE, the University of Sydney.

Suitable for those who have completed all levels up to 102 or who have completed 45 hours of recent face to face tuition. It starts to introduce the Katakana phonetic script through learning how to talk about and describe events, making phone calls and an introduction to the intriguing honorifics of the culture. Your ability to express yourself both verbally and non-verbally will improve as your explore these topics.

Participants who cannot read ‘hiragana’ and ‘katakana’ are advised to get the Romanized (Rooma-ji) version; participants who can read ‘hiragana’ and ‘katakana’ are advised to get the Kana version.

Based on Chapters 11 – 15 of the above text. The text is used for activities and forms the basis for consolidation and practice.
