Level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Ideal for preparing for travel or work commitments, you will learn the basics of language and build upon French 101. This course focuses on topics such as the city, accommodation, travel and outdoor activities. Grammatical and phonological elements are introduced as you work on your French speaking, oral comprehension, reading and writing skills.
Outcomes
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
- talk about your city
- name and locate places in a town
- obtain information about local accommodation and make a booking
- find your way around (understand directions)
- write a postcard
- talk about the weather and leisure time activities
- indicate your country of origin, or destination
- talk about yourself, your hobbies and leisure time activities
- talk about your profession.

Intended audience
Suitable for A1 level students, those who have completed French 101, or who have completed 20 hours of recent tuition.
Delivery style
Delivered as a series of interactive workshops where active participation is encouraged. Each session is conducted in a friendly and relaxed classroom setting.
