French Course 104 (Level 4)

If you want to learn to speak French, our French classes are ideal for adult learners to enjoy a practical and social experience while you learn French language and culture. Learn French the smart way with French courses at CCE, the University of Sydney.

The final level in the first year program. Suitable for those who have completed all levels up to 103 or who have completed 70 hours of recent face to face tuition. This level builds upon the previous three terms' work and prepares you for the second year program (201 – 204).


This course covers the following topics:

  • Ask for/ give times
  • Speak about your daily routine, usual activities and your schedule
  • Arranging a meeting
  • Going out
  • Understand a questionnaire
  • Speak about your future projects and past events
  • Les verbes irreguliers devoir/il faut/pouvoir/vouloir
  • The imperative tense
  • Past tense in the negative
  • Expressions of time and frequency


This course is delivered as a series of interactive workshops where active participation is encouraged.
