Josto Luzzu

Josto was born in Sardinia, Italy. He graduated from Rome University in Chinese studies, holds a Double Master’s degree in International Relations from Peking University, and in International History from the London School of Economics. He is currently undertaking his Ph.D. in Gender and Cultural Studies at the University of Sydney.

Josto first taught Italian in Italy to migrants as a volunteer. Teaching Italian soon became his passion and he decided to consolidate his knowledge through an intensive course for teaching Italian as second language and obtaining the second level of the DITALS certificate. Josto then spent several years' abroad teaching in China, England, Laos, and Australia.

Josto has numerous interests which include figure skating, camping, reading, travelling and playing piano. He speaks four languages and believes that learning a language is a journey of discovery. His classes are set up to guide students through this journey, in a humorous, relaxed and creative environment, where they can explore and map their linguistic improvements through numerous activities and games.

We acknowledge the tradition of custodianship and law of the Country on which the University of Sydney campuses stand. We pay our respects to those who have cared and continue to care for the Country.
