Eleanor Shakiba is an expert in ‘people skills’. She has trained over 49,000 people in the skills of breakthrough communication. She has been teaching at the Centre for Continuing Education for over ten years.

Eleanor is fascinated by the craft of communication. She started her career as a writer. Then she moved into a training role at The University of Sydney. Today, she works as a training consultant. She specialises in the areas of communication skills, applied psychology and business applications of Neuro Linguistic Programming.

The focus of Eleanor’s work is teaching technically savvy professionals to create, relate and communicate. She delivers a range of services to the corporate world, including:

Currently, Eleanor’s book Difficult People Made Easy is being prepared for publication by New Holland Publishers. Eleanor has also written over ninety training programs and a produced range of audio programs.

Eleanor’s blog is a rich resource for professionals who want to excel at work. It contains free videos and tip sheets on the art of solving ‘people problems’.

Eleanor’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Sydney, Graduate Certificate in Applied Psychology, Graduate Diploma in Adult Education, Master Practitioner and Trainer certifications in Neuro Linguistic Programming, accreditation to administer MBTI and DISC psychometric instruments and LEADR training in mediation. She writes and teaches in the areas of applied psychology, communication and conflict resolution.

Eleanor delights in helping professionals learn skills for success in the real world. She is passionate about helping people turn difficult conversations into constructive dialogues. Her students describe her as 'a lively and enthusiastic presenter who can keep you engaged for hours.'
