Level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
This course aims to consolidate and develop your knowledge previously gained, as well as introduce more complex language structures which will allow for the expression of feelings and opinions.
Outcomes
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
- write a speech
- give a small presentation
- participate in a debate
- comment and discuss a movie.
Content
This course covers the following topics:
- read, comment and discuss Brazilian news
- talk about family, extended family, and family history
- understand, discuss and contrast Brazilian history with that of another country.
Intended audience
Suitable for B1 level students, those who have completed all levels of Brazilian Portuguese up to 204 or those who have completed 195 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.
Delivery
Delivered as a series of classroom-based workshops which include group activities and group discussion. Parts of the course will be conducted in Portuguese as part of the overall training strategy.
