How to support USYD philanthropic causes
Support the University of Sydney philanthropic causes
The University of Sydney is passionate about philanthropy and has over 4,000 causes that you can support in various ways.
Supporting a cause can start with a donation, but it might also involve volunteering or simply sharing and participating in the stories we tell.
The University’s research is so comprehensive – particularly in the areas of health research – that research undertaken here will likely have relevance to you, your family, or someone you know.
Even if you don’t have the capacity to donate or volunteer, you can still advocate for philanthropy and the brilliant teams of researchers that are working at the University of Sydney to improve the quality of life for people across the globe, in various ways.
To learn more about the research taking place here and how you can take part, please visit our webpages on areas to support.
Learn about our cardiovascular disease research
It is a sad truth that most people will know someone who is affected by cardiovascular disease in their lifetime. Our researchers are working hard to change this.
Donate to cancer research or share our stories
Help our researchers find better ways to diagnose, treat and cure cancer. You'll make a lasting impact on individuals, families and communities affected by these devastating diseases.
Help refugees in Australia
We rely solely on the generosity of our donors and volunteers to run this free program which has helped hundreds of refugees establish a life in Australia.
Donate to the COVID-19 crisis
Wondering how you can help with COVID-19? Support students at the University by donating today. Your gift could help struggling students receive emergency relief.
Here at the Centre for Continuing Education we have our own philanthropic endeavour. We regularly run campaigns that support the University’s Widening Participation and Outreach department, so that high school students from low-socio-economic backgrounds can attend our HSC preparation courses for free.
