Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

This course aims to consolidate and develop your knowledge previously gained, as well as introduce more complex Spanish language structures which will allow for expression of feelings and opinions.

Suitable for those who have completed all levels of Spanish up to 104 or those who have completed 95 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.


By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • report situations such as invitations and presentations
  • describe places and objects
  • produce instruction to prepare traditional meals.


This course covers the following topics:

  • asking for and giving permission
  • giving and accepting excuses
  • revising and consolidating the past tense
  • discussing future activities and plans.

Intended audience

Suitable for A2 level students, those who have completed all levels of Spanish up to 104 or those who have completed 95 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.

Delivery style

Delivered as a series of classroom-based workshops which include group activities and group discussion. Parts of the course will be conducted in Spanish as part of the overall training strategy.

Based on Units 4-6 of the above text. The text is used for activities and forms the basis for consolidation and practice.
