Level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

This course aims to consolidate and develop your knowledge previously gained in Spanish 101, as well as introduce more complex Spanish language structures which will allow for expression of feelings and opinions.

Suitable for those who have completed Spanish 101 or those who have completed 20 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • increase your skills, vocabulary and attitude towards study, all required for continued study of Spanish
  • identify and describe family members
  • describe clothes and dramatise a role play in a clothes shop
  • describe your daily routine.

  • Introducing your family: adjectives, demonstrative and possessive

Intended audience

Suitable for A1 level students, those who have completed Spanish 101, or those who have completed 20 hours of recent tuition.

Delivery style

Delivered as a series of classroom-based workshops which include group activities and group discussion. Parts of this course will be conducted in Spanish as part of the overall training strategy.

Prescribed text

The prescribed text is available in two editions: English and Spanish. You are welcome to purchase either text but the English version is recommended.

Based on Units 4-6 of the above text. The text is used for activities and forms the basis for consolidation and practice.
