Stephanie Oley

Stephanie is an experienced business writer and coach who has developed a sound method of teaching concise, jargon-free writing that tells the story and sets clear reader expectations. Her early career was in government and publishing, before she moved into business writing and coaching in 2006. She has led various writing workshops and programs throughout both the government and private sectors. Some of her notable clients include the Reserve Bank of Australia, NSW Health, Woolworths, Transport for NSW, Credit Corp Group, Law Society of NSW, NHVR, and various Local Councils. In 2013 Stephanie followed her business nose to become partner at Sydney creative agency, The Offices, where she oversees day-to-day proposal writing, content marketing and a range of corporate client writing projects.

Stephanie has a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Sydney, majoring in Linguistics and English Literature, and holds a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. She is a member of the Sydney Chamber of Commerce and volunteers her writing expertise for a number of not-for-profit organisations.

Kathleen Olive

Dr Kathleen Olive’s PhD examined the culture of fifteenth-century Florentine artisans, particularly the ways in which they created and controlled written self-representations. She has a teaching specialisation in Renaissance Italy and other aspects of Italian history, as well as Italian language, having taught at the University of Sydney and the University of Western Sydney. Kathleen has also taught undergraduate units in the history of medieval and early modern Europe at the University of Sydney.

She travels frequently to Italy, Spain, Turkey and America, both to lead tour groups and to pursue her current research projects.

Shoko Ono

Shoko has a combined Master of Arts in Japanese Studies and Australian Literature from the University of Sydney (USYD). She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Arts from University of NSW (UNSW), as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Obirin University, Tokyo.

She has taught Japanese language and culture at USYD, UNSW, Central Queensland University, and is currently also teaching at the University of Technology, Sydney. She has experience as a JLPT facilitator, as well as in HSC examination and curriculum development.

Lukas Opacic (B.Sc, JD, LMusA) is currently undertaking an LLM (Master of Laws) at the University of Sydney. He has a Bachelor of Science majoring in pure mathematics and a JD (Juris Doctor) also from Sydney University. All his degrees also feature comprehensive studies in Philosophy and Legal Theory, areas in which he has topped subjects at university and for which he retains a keen interest and passion. He has many years experience teaching and tutoring mathematics at high school level, and his students have consistently performed well in assessments and exams.

Javier Orellana

Javier Orellana has Applied Science degrees in chemistry and materials science, and an ITL Graduate certificate in Educational Studies (Higher Education). He is in the process of completing his doctorate in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Sydney.

Javier was a Technical Officer at the University of Sydney for over 20 years. In this time he has conducted more than 15 distillation training courses. He was then a director of INTTACT and conducted operator and instrumentation training for companies including BHP Billiton, Santos and Schneider Electric.

Javier is now National Training and Development Manager, Industry Business, Schneider Electric Australia.

Martin Orrock

Martin Orrock is a Masters degree graduate from Macquarie University. He has been a co-ordinator of H.S.I.E and Headmaster at Pittwater House Schools. At present he is teaching Business Studies, Commerce and Geography at Moriah College. Martin has written on the Australian educational scene for journals such as Harvard Newsnotes and presented papers at conferences on topics like economic development. He grew up in a business family and was for some years in a business partnership designing, manufacturing and wholesaling menswear. Both the leadership positions in education and business have given him a wealth of experience in the area of human resource management. Martin enjoys making this topic relevant and contemporary with the use of interesting case studies from his own background and current news.
