Rita Orsini

Resume

Rita Orsini holds an MA in English Literature and Civilisation and a BA in Italian from the University of Caen and Nancy, France. She taught French in Northern Ireland for one year before coming to Australia and working as a tutor of French language, literature and civilisation at the University of Sydney and the University of NSW. She has been part of the French team at the Centre of Continuing Education since 1992, teaching at all levels from beginners to fluency.

Elena Ortega Tolosana

Elena Ortega holds a Masters in Applied Linguistics and an Advanced Diploma in Teaching Spanish from the University of Jaen, (Spain) as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Sydney and the CELTA certificate to teach English as a Second Language. She taught english in Spain, Italy and France for a number of years and Spanish at UTS, UNSW, the University of Sydney and TAFE. She is now a full time fine arts student but continues to enjoy teaching Spanish on a part-time basis.

Jon Ossher

Resume

Jon Ossher worked for many years in film and television as a director of broadcast documentaries and television drama series. In 1989 he directed a major documentary for the ABC on Australia’s premier jazz entertainer James Morrison, which radio commentator John Laws described as mandatory viewing for anyone learning about jazz. Jon has built up a vast collection of jazz recordings featuring well-known and lesser-known jazz vocalists, musicians and composers. He has read widely on the subject and written numerous articles on jazz for local and overseas magazines. Jon occasionally performs as a jazz vocalist in Sydney.

Mark Ostryn

Mark Ostryn has a multi-dimensional business career. He has owned, advised, obtained finance for and sold companies in more than twenty industries. As a business owner Mark has built companies specialising in financial software, road safety technology and PC distribution. As a venture capitalist he has evaluated business plans across market sectors, undertaken due diligence and managed sale transitions. Through his VC work, Mark was instrumental in developing Europe’s leading e-Shopping company.

As a senior manager, Mark built a start up online business Information Company to $25m revenue and eight offices across Asia Pacific.

Mark Ostryn now owns Knowledge 2020, and advises the CEO’s of high growth companies to facilitate global opportunities, while nurturing an annual group of 40 aspiring entrepreneurs through the NSW Enterprise Workshop. He is also a prolific speaker and workshop facilitator at NSW Government’s, Small Business September.

Mark has a Masters Degree in Applied Finance, a Postgraduate Diploma in International Marketing, a Bachelors of Business Studies and is a qualified Business Broker and Financial Planner.

Pia Ottavian

Pia Ottavian has been teaching Italian to adults and HSC students in Sydney for over 20 years in association with various cultural institutions, including the Dante Alighieri Society where she is a Board Member, the Workers Education Association, and Community Colleges. Pia holds a Master’s degree in Second Language acquisition from the University of Venice (2005), has a deep interest in languages and loves the challenges and pleasures of teaching her mother tongue.

Fumiko Ozeki

Fumiko loves teaching Japanese to students of all levels and encourages learning in a fun, relaxed and interactive classroom setting. With extensive experience in Japan and Australia, she has a good understanding of students' needs as they learn a new language.

She has a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics and Graduate Diploma in Languages Teaching from University of Technology, Sydney, a Postgraduate Certificate in TESOL from Macquarie University, and a Bachelor degree from Osaka University.

Ekin Ozlu Akseki

Ekin Ozlu holds a BA from Ankara University and a MA in Political Science, International Relations from Sorbonne-Paris I University in France. Later, she has changed her carrier and studied Teaching French as a Foreign Language at Stendhal-Grenoble 3 University in France. She has worked as a French teacher in Australia, Oman and Turkey. Since 2005, she has taught different age groups at different levels in Alliance Francaise de Sydney, Muscat International School, Berlitz, French Institute, Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey and French School Charles de Gaulle.

Kam Ozonaran

Kam brings years of insights from senior management roles across Fortune 500 companies, as a business owner, academic, advisor, and teacher for RTOs and various universities.

Kam’s experience extends across both marketing consulting and client-side corporate roles. Having completed a degree in Commerce at UNSW, she started her career in brand management and gained 15 years of experience in FMCG and then 3 years in retail banking working for global companies Procter & Gamble and Citibank.

Equipped with a postgraduate qualification in training and assessment combined with senior-level marketing experience, Kam started a training and development company specialising in marketing competencies. Kam takes an innovative and passionate approach to building marketing capabilities for businesses.

Today, Kam is the Managing Director of Matchbox Consulting - a recruitment firm that is innovating the industry with an agile approach to connecting businesses with the brightest minds across Australia.

Kam is also dedicated to not-for-profit initiatives, and she assisted the Asylum Seeker Centre by supporting social justice outcomes for refugees. She has also helped university students and business leaders through mentoring engagements with the Cambodian Children’s Trust, the University of Sydney and Chemism – an organisation supporting self-employment resources for people with a disability.
