This Facebook advertising course provides the training needed to run advertising campaigns on the world’s most impactful and influential social media marketing platform – Facebook. With over two billion active users and the average user checking the platform over nine times a day, Facebook advertising is a must-have digital marketing tool for all businesses. It is the ideal place for businesses to connect with potential customers online and grow their business using Facebook advertising.

Facebook advertising is run from Facebook’s self-serve advertising platform (Ad Manager), which grants businesses complete control over their set-up, budget and targeting. This course introduces the Facebook advertising platform and walks you step-by-step through the process of creating successful Facebook advertising campaigns.

Whether you are new to social media advertising or looking to improve your skills and learn more about the platform, this course will help you plan, create, analyse and optimise different types of Facebook advertising campaigns. You will learn to help grow your business, generate more leads and increase your online or retail sales.


This course aims to show you:

  • how the Facebook advertising system decides where and when to show advertisements to different audiences – also known as "the algorithm"
  • the different types of Facebook campaign objectives and when to use each one

Intended audience

No prior experience needed. You need to have a Facebook business page to participate in the class.

Delivery style

Delivered over one day, this interactive workshop will guide you step-by-step through setting up a campaign, and reviewing and optimising your account to achieve the best results for your business.

Delivery options:

  • Presenter-taught training in a computer lab on University premises. You do not need to bring your own device.
  • Online training via the platform Zoom. You will need your own device with internet access.
