Adobe Photoshop Elements Course: Essentials

Adobe Photoshop Elements. Amazing photos. No experience needed.

This Adobe Photoshop Elements one-day course provides a practical understanding of how digital camera files are created and why they require editing. Most importantly, it provides the skills to edit images to perfection, simply and quickly.

The class is designed so that you learn how to apply high impact improvements to your pictures in the fastest and easiest ways – without the need to get involved with complex masks, layers or time-consuming selections. Because this is an intensive one-day session, further learning resources will also be made available in the form of QuickTime movies – these are handed out on USB sticks in class.

You will learn about resolution, image size, retouching, cropping, RAW files, perspective correction, working with text, printing options, multimedia, and more.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • sort, arrange and label your photographs into albums and folders
  • keyword your photos for quick retrieval
  • identify the strong and weak points in RAW and JPEG image files
  • apply the correct tools with which to make improvements to unedited image files
  • make significant improvements to the brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, sharpness and mood in any image using fast and effective tools
  • fix basic blemishes in any picture (photo retouching)
  • resize picture files to make them suitable for publishing, in print, or online
