Harriet Westcott

Harriet is a PhD student and tutor in the School of Sociology and Social Policy, at the University of Sydney. Her research focuses on the friendship experience of skilled migrants to Australia. Theoretically Harriet is influenced by the micro-order of social life and the rules of social etiquette as presented by Goffman, and the friendship philosophies of Aristotle. Harriet has over ten years experience as a social researcher for government and NGOs. She holds a Masters Degree in Culture and Media, and a Bachelors (Honours) of Sociology.

Keith Whelan

Keith Whelan has been a writer for the past 20 years. Starting life as a journalist, he has progressed to becoming an author, lecturer, publicist, copywriter, researcher, and editor.

Keith holds a Diploma in Journalism and Media Studies (major in Creative Writing), Bachelor of Public Administration (major in Business Studies) and a Master of Social Change & Development (major in Political Science). He currently teaches professional development and executive education courses at the University of Sydney and the University of Adelaide, as well as several NSW community colleges and public libraries. Keith has facilitated numerous in-house workshops as part of staff training for organisations including NSW Health, Qudos Credit Union, and the NSW Chamber of Commerce.

Keith has conducted courses for John Hopkins CTYI Program at the University of Limerick, Ireland, which have been included in several library programs for the Children’s Book Festival and Writer’s Week in Ireland.

Keith has taught at CCE since 2012 and is passionate about teaching life-long learning. He has seen the difference his one-day courses have made to peoples' professional ambition and the joy and passion people have attained from learning and feeling confident about progressing in their chosen path with the knowledge they have attained.

Dale White is an international coach, trainer, exercise scientist, keynote speaker, and business consultant. He holds a double Bachelor's Degree in Business and Exercise Science from the Queensland University of Technology and has founded several companies, including Ripple Fitness, White Lightning Co, and The Healthy Lifestyle Transformation. He is a graduate of various Business Mastery programs.

For 16 years, Dale has helped thousands of people and businesses through his programs, coaching, training, and consulting. He specialises in helping people and businesses identify barriers that limit their success and then create customised solutions and strategies to overcome them and thrive. Some of Dale's notable clients include the NSW Department of Education, NSW Department of Communities and Justice, Hostplus, CHOICE, NSW Reconstruction Authority, Australian Wool Innovation, Legal Aid NSW, and Hartmann.

Dale is renowned for his high-energy presentations that leave the audience both inspired and energised. He is passionate about win-win outcomes and solutions and was recognised for his commitment to helping others with the Logan City Council's Young Citizen of the Year award in 2014.

Giles White

Giles is an experienced digital marketing strategist. He founded his digital marketing company, Whiteclick, more than ten years ago and has worked with clients from sectors as diverse as travel, retail, banking, and insurance. His clients range from SME’s to large infrastructure organisations and multinationals. He’s helped them win awards and major acquisitions through their online growth. Giles has only been teaching marketing at University of Sydney’s Centre for Continuing Education for just over a year but he himself studied marketing at Bournemouth University in England (to quote his words “a long time ago!”) and lists 1997 as the date of his first major commercial digital project, so comes with a wealth of experience.

Giles loves teaching digital marketing and is particularly good at translating complex ideas and concepts for the lay person. His peers describe him as “demonstrating the right balance of professionalism, passion, intuition and personal characteristics that make a top-notch marketer”. His technical know-how, substantial real-life business experience and publishing background give him a unique and customer-centric perspective focused on delivering commercial results.

Kate Wilkie

Kate Wilkie is a Design Technology and Visual Arts teacher. She has worked with commercial framers and has been custom framing for a number of years. In the 1980’s, Kate instigated and taught a Picture Framing course with Manly Warringah Community College and also at Taree. She is currently working as a Technical Supervisor of the Painting Studios at Sydney College of the Arts.

Craig Wilkins

Craig has 20 + years international experience in the application of best practice Program and Project Management disciplines. He has been engaged in multiple program and project management disciplines in the IT&T, oil and gas, electrical utilities, water utilities, health care and engineering industries, and has proven experience in both private and public sector.

In addition to his practical work, Craig has an outstanding reputation as a trainer and coach across a broad range of program and project management disciplines. He has designed and developed training packages for high profile global organisations to embed the knowledge and ensure the capabilities have been improved.

David Wilkins

David has been working with R for over a decade. He is the author of several popular open-source R packages, two online courses on the R language, and over a dozen scientific publications involving R analyses. David has taught R to graduate and postgraduate research students and been a tutor, teaching assistant and laboratory demonstrator for undergraduate courses in biology, medicine and environmental policy. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science and a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of New South Wales; He also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the City University of Hong Kong. The use of R to make sense of large and complex datasets has been a central theme of his research in microbial ecology, environmental engineering and medicine.

David has a particular passion for creating beautiful and informative statistical graphics, and enjoys teaching people how to use R to discover and express the insights hidden in their data.
