Anna-Maria Dell'oso

Anna Maria Dell’oso is a well-known Australian writer, journalist and critic. Her acclaimed book Songs of the Suitcase won the Steele Rudd Award. Anna’s fiction has been published in many anthologies and reviews including Meanjin and the Griffith Review. Anna’s first book was Cats, Cradles & Chamomile Tea, a collection from her popular column in the SMH’s Good Weekend. Anna has studied playwriting at NIDA and has worked as a librettist to several Australian composers. Her opera, Bride of Fortune, was performed at the Perth Festival in 1991 and won a Pater Award for best libretto for an Australian musical.
Anna is currently writing a novel, Beating Time, and a memoir of her Italian poet mother, And Yet I Would Like to Relive Those Years.
Anna has lectured in creative writing at the University of Newcastle and run writing workshops in schools and libraries throughout NSW.
Mary Demovic

Mary Demovic has an MA in Egyptology and has taught hieroglyphs for Sydney University’s Continuing Education since 1995. She has participated in three excavations with Macquarie University, working on Old and New Kingdom tomb sites in Lower and Upper Egypt. Mary provides consultation in hieroglyphic transliteration and translation to public and private institutions. She has been Education Officer and Acting Manage of the Museum of Ancient Cultures at Macquarie University. Mary is currently Head Teacher of HSIE (Human Society and its Environment) at an inner city high school in Sydney.Peter Denman

Kelly-Ann Denton is an image maker who holds a masters degree in Art, majoring in PhotoMedia. For almost a decade Kelly-Ann has been involved in lecturing both the historical and contemporary practices of photography and including the technical components; holding the position of lecturer at The Australian Centre for Photography, a leading photographic institution in Sydney and Sydney College of the Arts at the University of Sydney. Kelly-Ann also practices as an independent photographer nurturing her own interest in photography from a philosophical, cultural and historical context. Her personal work have received finalist standing in the most significant Photographic Prizes in Australia. James has published widely across the across the fields of international security, science and technology, and media studies, including a book and several articles on the geopolitical, societal and ethical impact of quantum innovation. He has designed and taught over twenty different courses, at Oxford University, Columbia University, University of Massachusetts, University of Southern California, Brown University, The University of Sydney and the state prison systems of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He has produced five documentary films, most recently, Project Q: War, Peace and Quantum Mechanics.
James received a B.A. in History and Political Science from McGill University (Joint First Class Honours) and a M. Phil and D. Phil in International Relations from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. He is currently Director of the Centre for International Security Studies and Michael Hintze Chair of International Security at The University of Sydney.

Peter is also a Casual Academic with both the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the University of Technology (UTS) in their respective business schools.
