Level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
The final of the second year program, this course aims to consolidate and develop your knowledge previously gained, as well as introduce more complex language structures which will allow for expression of feelings and opinions.
Outcomes
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
- review a book or short movie and write a report about it
- prepare a publicity text
- prepare a letter of complaint.

- Talking about books or the cinema
- Giving advice using the imperative form
- Talking about publicity
- Expressing wishes and making complaints
- Writing letters
- Expressing desires, uncertain events and hypothetical situations using subjunctive and compound subjunctive modes
Intended audience
Suitable for B1 level students, those who have completed all levels of Brazilian Portuguese up to 203, or those who have completed 170 hours of recent tuition.
Delivery style
Delivered as a series of interactive workshops where active participation is encouraged.
