Have you recently gone for an internal promotion and had to face an interview panel for the first time in years? Are you happy with your resume and LinkedIn profile but still not getting the job interviews you want?

If this is you, or you just feel you need to brush up on your interview skills as it has been a while, then this course is for you!

Aims

The aim of this interview skills course is to empower you with the skills, confidence and knowledge to ensure you are successful at job interviews, resulting in you getting the offer for the job you really want.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • improve your interview skills and strategies
  • respond with action to interview questions, demonstrating your career achievements and attributes
  • demonstrate your personal brand in interviewing and promote your skills, experiences, qualifications and your potential contribution and achievements

  • identify the different styles of interviewing
  • prepare for a telephone interview
  • practice how to successfully answer a behavioural-based interview question
  • manage interview stress and control nervous energy.

This course covers the following topics.

  • What to do before the job interview.
  • How to research and prepare for an interview.
  • Different types of interviews, including telephone interviews.
  • Body language do’s and don’ts.
  • How to demonstrate your personal brand in interviewing and promote your skills, experiences.
  • Qualifications and your potential contribution and achievements.
  • How to build confidence in communicating with an interviewer or interview panel.
  • Practice how to successfully answer a behavioural-based interview question.
  • Manage interview stress and control nervous energy.
  • What to do after the interview.

Intended audience

Suitable for anyone wanting to learn tips and gain confidence to achieve job interview success and get the job they want. This includes those in management, team leadership and supervisory roles, as well as those who may be seeking employment.

None.

Delivery style

Delivered as an interactive workshop, through a variety of methods including:

  • small group discussions
  • role plays and simulations
  • Q&A sessions with the workshop facilitator.
