Aims

Evaluate and perfect your pronunciation. Through stimulating and interactive exercises, we will explore intonation patterns, sounds and rhythm, some differences with pronunciation and stress, in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • idenfity the differences with pronunciation
  • recognise your newly acquired knowledge of phonetics
  • listen and speak more clearly
  • express your ideas with greater clarity.

Content

This course covers the following topics:

  • vowels
  • semi-vowels
  • nasal vowels
  • consonnants
  • liaisons.

Intended audience

Designed for advanced students and conducted entirely in French.

Prerequisites

This course assume you are proficient in the language. You should also be keen to engage in discussions on a variety of topics.

Delivery style

You will be guided through a variety of complex written and oral documents. Through repetition exercises, you will develop your listening and speaking skills, and a good ear for the rhythm of speech.

Please note

Selected courses that teach spoken language may include use of language immersion (course instruction in the selected language) as part of the training strategy.
