Level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Aims
This course covers more complex areas of speech relating to clarity, accuracy and checking you’ve been understood. Your ability will be furthered by covering the grammatical themes of compound relative pronouns, the choice of the infinitive rather than a conjugated verb and the future perfect.
Content
This course covers the following topics:
- le monde du travail
- loisirs, vacances, congés payés
- l’humour et les différences culturelles
- la francophonie
- raffiner son discours – s’assurer qu’on est compris, illustrer et préciser ses propos, remplacer un mot par un autre quand on cherche ses mots…
- grammaire: pronoms relatifs composés (pour lequel, avec lequel, duquel…); le futur antérieur; les constructions infinitives (je crois pouvoir répondre).
Intended audience
Suitable for B1 level students, those who have completed all levels of French up to 401 or those who have completed 320 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.
Delivery style
Delivered as a series of interactive workshops where active participation is encouraged. Each session is conducted in a friendly and relaxed classroom setting.
