Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

This course consolidates your four language skills: listening; speaking; reading and writing. It continues to develop your vocabulary skills through various reading, writing and speaking exercises.


Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Recognise the noun- adjective agreement.
  2. Recognise the perfect tense agreement.
  3. Increase vocabulary by an additional 1500 words.
  4. Learn additional expressions spoken on specific occasions.
  5. Handle a job interview, a visit to the doctor and a visit to a flight centre.
  6. Write a report or an article about famous public figures and a congratulatory wedding card.

  • Travelling
  • Once upon a time
  • Noun- adjective agreement
  • Perfect tenses
  • Possessions
  • Derivation of nouns from verbs
  • Passive participle

Intended Audience

Suitable for B2 level students, those who have completed all levels of Arabic up to 402 or who have completed 345 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.

Delivery Style

This course is delivered as a series of interactive workshops where active participation is encouraged.


Resources will be provided to cover all topics.

Selected Language and Culture courses that teach spoken language may include use of language immersion (course instruction in the selected language) as part of the training strategy.


Language courses are offered in four terms each year during January, April, July and October.
