Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

This course aims to consolidate and develop your knowledge previously gained, as well as introduce more complex Spanish language structures which will allow for expression of feelings and opinions.

Suitable for those who have completed all levels of Spanish up to 304 or those who have completed 295 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.


By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • discuss various life styles: cities versus towns
  • write a text about quality of life
  • design a contest.


This course covers the following topics:

  • expressing beliefs
  • the use of relative pronouns
  • talking about travels
  • using the passive voice
  • indicative/subjunctive in opinions
  • expressing conditions
  • discussing the use of the impersonal se
  • using the present perfect of the subjunctive
  • relative sentences.

Intended audience

Suitable for continuing B2 level students, those who have completed all levels of Spanish up to 304 or those who have completed 295 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.

Delivery style

Delivered as a series of classroom-based workshops which include group activities and group discussion. Parts of the course will be conducted in Spanish as part of the overall training strategy.

Based on Units 5-6 of the above text. The text is used for activities and forms the basis for consolidation and practice.
