Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

This course aims to consolidate and develop students' knowledge previously gained, as well as introduce more complex Spanish language structures which will allow for expression of feelings and opinions. Suitable for those who have completed all levels of Spanish up to 302 or who have completed 245 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Listen, read and write about the news.
  2. Identify sections of a newspaper.
  3. Discuss various leisure and tourism activities.

Content

This course covers the following topics:

  • To listen, read and write about the news
  • To use the passive voice
  • The impersonal se
  • Discussing information and media
  • Discussing what someone has said
  • Giving an opinion and expressing agreement or disagreement
  • Proposing conditions to negotiate
  • Organisers of argumentation and connectors
  • Discussing leisure and tourism

Intended Audience

Suitable for beginning B2 level students, those who have completed all levels of Spanish up to 302 or who have completed 245 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.

Delivery Style

This course is delivered as a series of classroom-based workshops which include group activities and group discussion. Parts of the course will be conducted in Spanish as part of the overall training strategy.
