If you want to learn to speak Hindi, our Hindi classes are ideal for adult learners to enjoy a practical and social experience while you learn Hindi language and culture. Learn Hindi the smart way with Hindi courses at CCE, the University of Sydney.

Suitable for those who have completed all levels up to 103 or who have completed 70 hours of recent face to face tuition. It will consolidate the previous terms material to further develop competency in reading, writing, listening and speaking. New grammatical material will introduce how to express actions of the past and the use of nuances in verb actions. You will also continue to learn other skills such as telling the time and expressing how to perform various actions.

  • How to express actions that occur in the past
  • How to distinguish one off actions from actions which occur regularly
  • How to tell the time in detail
  • How to express an ability to perform an action as well as how to express compulsion
  • How to express nuances in verb actions
  • How to use relative clauses such as 'the one who'

Prescribed text

  • Teach yourself Hindi (new edition)

Based on Chapters 11-14 of the above text. The text is used for activities and forms the basis for consolidation and practice.
