Neta Steigrad is a teacher educator in the Faculty of Education at the University of Sydney. She has taught English abroad, and Modern Hebrew here in Sydney. Her M.Ed is in Languages Education. She currently works with students wishing to become Hebrew/Jewish Studies teachers, as well as mentoring individual teachers already working in schools. Her areas of interest are classroom practice, foreign language learning, teacher professional development and visual design in teaching material.

Mr Rod Stoddart – Current Year 5 Coordinator and teacher at The Scots College. Rod has previously taught at Newington College on Stages 2 and 3 and as Stage Coordinator, in all he has been teaching for over 10 years. During this time Rod has been involved in a number of Film Design courses and initiatives with both Primary and Secondary students. Mrs Hannah Falk – Current Year 5 teacher at the Scots College and ecoach. Hannah has a wealth of experience with boys education along with her knowledge of Apple programmes such as iMovie and Final Cut Pro. Hannah has presented a number of ICT seminars at other Independent Schools across Australia.

Richard Stoneham

Richard Stoneham is a business consultant with extensive experience of organisational change and strategic realignment. He provides thought leadership in ‘Business Framework Engineering®’ including such areas as: strategic initiatives; organisational capability building; process innovation; system mapping; knowledge management; programme and project management. As an associate of the Institute for Independant Business Richard advises business owners and leaders in the running and growth of their businesses and is also involved in various joint ventures and start-ups.

Richard has varied general management and consulting experience across several industries, living and working in Europe, the Middle East and Australasia. He now runs his own consultancy which is based on the premise: ‘Workers are responsible for only 15% of problems, the system for the other 85%. The system is the responsibility of management,’ W. Edwards Deming. Richard has an Honours degree in Industrial Economics and is a Chartered Management Accountant. He has been trained in systems thinking, which influences much of his work, and he is a member of the Australian branch of the Society for Organisational Learning.

Stephen Stoneham

Stephen Stoneham has taught English at Sydney University, the University of Notre Dame, Sydney Grammar School, Marlborough College UK and Milton Academy USA. He currently teaches at The Scots College. He is the Dean of Language Arts (English and Languages) at The Scots College. He holds an Honours BA and and Honours MA in English from the University of Sydney.

Phillip Strasser

Phil Strasser’s tertiary qualifications and work experience are in food. He graduated from Ryde College of TAFE in Sydney with a Certificate in Catering as well as a Diploma in Hospitality Management. He worked for 3 years in chef positions as well as supervisory and assistant management positions in Sydney and Toronto, Canada before setting up his own takeaway shop, which he eventually converted into a salad bar in Martin Place. Since then, he has operated a takeaway salad bar in North Sydney.

David Stratton

David Stratton was the director of the Sydney Film Festival from 1966-1983. He contributes film reviews to The Australian, and is the author of two books on Australian cinema: The Last New Wave and The Avocado Plantation. From 1981-2004 he presented films on SBS Television and was, with Margaret Pomeranz, co-host of The Movie Show from 1986-2004. In July 2004, Margaret and David moved to ABC television with their show, At The Movies. David commenced his association with the Centre for Continuing Education in 1991 and his History of World Cinema courses have since been a regular feature.

John Stratton

John Stratton was admitted as a solicitor in 1981. He worked at Legal Aid and for a number of private firms. In 1991 he was admitted as a barrister. During his time at the Bar, he has mainly practised in criminal jury trials and appeals to the Court of Criminal Appeal. In 1997 he was appointed a Public Defender. In 2003 he was appointed Senior Counsel. In 2005 he was appointed Deputy Senior Public Defender. He returned to the private Bar in 2013.
