Anita Strezova

Resume

Dr. Anita Strezova is a Byzantine scholar, art historian, theologian and iconographer. For the past 8 years she has worked as an Independent Research Consultant for various organisations (tertiary institutions). Anita has published several articles in international journals. She is an author of two forthcomming books: ‘Autocephaly or Autonomy?’, and 'The Impact of Hesychasm on Religious Art in Byzantine and Slavic Lands".

Scott Stuart

Resume

Prof Scott Stuart is a psychiatrist and a Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Iowa (USA). He is an internationally acclaimed teacher and workshop leader and has conducted training courses in IPT and perinatal psychiatry in 30 different countries and across the US.

Prof Stuart has been active in clinical work, education and research in Interpersonal Psychotherapy and perinatal psychiatry for over two decades, and has received a number of research grants from the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control. Dr Stuart completed his medical training at the University of Kansas, followed by internship at the University of Pittsburgh. He has received many teaching awards, including the John Clancy Teacher of the Year Award (Department of Psychiatry of the University of Iowa).

Prof Stuart is the President and co-founder of the International Society of Interpersonal Psychotherapists and Director of the Interpersonal Psychotherapy Institute. He has also authored a number of articles on IPT, and is the co-author of an internationally acclaimed textbook on Interpersonal Psychotherapy – Interpersonal Psychotherapy: A Clinician’s Guide.

Dorothea Suess

Dorothea Suess is a German teacher with experience in both adult and childhood education. She holds a Bachelor of Education from Johann Wolfgang-Goethe-University in Frankfurt, and previously worked in Germany as a primary school teacher before moving to Australia. Dorothea taught German at the Goethe Institut in Sydney from 2014 to 2015 and first taught with the Centre for Continuing Education in 2014. As well as her passion for the teaching of German language and culture, Dorothea very much enjoys working within a multicultural environment.

James Sun

Resume

James has a BA degree in Education from China and has extensive experience in teaching Mandarin to overseas students, including teaching Chinese at a top international school in South East Asia. He has also taught Mandarin to adult students from English-speaking backgrounds at the Language Exchange Sydney.

James has also worked for multinational companies in China and Australia, and this business experience has helped him to understand the essentials required to teach Mandarin as a foreign language and to enable learners to use their language in real life and business situations.

James holds a master’s degree in both Commerce (UNSW) and Media Communications, and currently works for a leading tourism organisation as an International Media Consultant. This job has enabled him to build solid skills required to work in a cross-cultural and global environment, and he is frequently called upon to use his Chinese language skills.

Ying Li Sun

Yingli holds a PhD in Chinese Literature from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Peking University, China. She also obtained both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in English Language and Literature in China. Yingli has a keen interest in Chinese language and culture, and enjoys sharing with others her understanding of this beautiful and unique language and culture. She loves teaching and has been teaching Chinese language and culture courses at various levels, from total beginners to highly advanced professional Chinese. In addition to her teaching at CCE, Yingli is currently teaching advanced Chinese courses at the School of International Studies, the University of New South Wales.

Mark Sutton

Mark is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney. His research is focused on the recent output of Bob Dylan (including his albums, films, book and radio programmes) and discusses how Dylan manipulates notions of tradition and influence in the creation of his work.
