Hebrew. Learn Hebrew with us.

Modern Hebrew is spoken by about nine million people – most of them citizens of Israel, of which three million are native speakers of Modern Israeli Hebrew, two million are new immigrants, one million are Israeli Arabs and half a million are Israelis or diaspora Jews who continue to live abroad. Modern Hebrew is, together with Modern Standard Arabic, an official language of the modern state of Israel, and before the state’s establishment it was one of the official languages of the British Mandate for Palestine. Our Jewish program offers further opportunities to study Jewish culture.

Our beginners Hebrew classes are suitable for people who have no prior knowledge of the Hebrew language, while subsequent courses progressively increase the complexity of language concepts. If you want to learn to speak Hebrew, our Hebrew courses are ideal for adult learners to enjoy a practical and social experience while you learn Hebrew language and culture. Learn Hebrew the smart way with Hebrew courses at CCE, the University of Sydney.
