If you want to learn to speak French, our French classes are ideal for adult learners to enjoy a practical and social experience while you learn French language and culture. Learn French the smart way with French courses at CCE, the University of Sydney.

Aims

Designed for advanced students who wish to stay in touch with the language and culture in constant evolution, engage in lively discussions on current topics in a conversation-style, convivial and relaxed atmosphere. Venez parler français en toute confiance!

Content

It will cover the latest news to provide an insight on current affairs and trends in France. The content will be varied and include topics such as literature, culture, politics, science, new technologies, arts, cinema and gastronomy. Some grammatical points will be studied if needed by the students to appreciate the material studied in class. Phonetic and intonation exercises will also be included.

Intended Audience

Assumes students have a proficiency level. Participants must also be keen to engage in discussions on a variety of topics.

Delivery Style

You will be guided through a variety of complex texts and video excerpts and will engage in lively discussions and debates on specialised topics, in a relaxed atmosphere.

Please Note

Selected Language and Culture courses that teach spoken language may include use of language immersion (course instruction in the selected language) as part of the training strategy.
