Chaoyu Li (MT, Syd; BA, Beijing TC) is an experienced teacher. For the past 10 years, he has been teaching Chinese language and literature in Australia for IB, HSC course in different schools, and tutoring vocational and tertiary as well. His voice has been recorded for HSC Chinese Background Speakers examinations for the past 4 years. Students will learn standard Mandarin as a basic, and colloquial Beijing as a plus. Dr Osu Lilje is an academic in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Sydney. She has taught biology to undergraduate students since 1993 at the University of Sydney. Her teaching has covered a wide range of biological topics from ecology, molecular biology to human biology. Samuel has a degree in Social Communication, majoring in Journalism, from Fanor University in Fortaleza, Brasil. Whilst doing his degree he made contributions as a spokesman for the Jose de Alencar theatre and Fale! magazine, and also started teaching English at local schools in Fortaleza. Once involved in the educational environment, Samuel dedicated himself to this discipline and undertook a Teacher Training Course. Having completed high school in Sydney, Chris then attended The University of New South Wales on scholarship, where he studied commerce and information technology. Upon graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science, he has worked in the business sector within both the accounting and IT disciplines. Chris' teaching background started purely by chance in 1993, when he was asked to teach accounting at TAFE as an emergency replacement teacher. 17 years later, he’s still at it ! Chris has extensive teaching and training experience at TAFE NSW, WEA College in Sydney, Sydney University and in a myriad of business organisations around town. He specialises in finance and accounting courses for beginners, as well as IT based subjects for PCs. In 2001, Chris joined QANTAS Airways, where he lectures in Human Factors Performance and flies the Boeing 767. He thoroughly enjoys teaching and training adults, is right into his rugby, attempts some amateur photography and is learning Russian and Swedish. Chris' spare time is spent with his gorgeous wife and his beautiful daughter, who is almost a year old!Justine Lind

Lian Liu has extensive experience working as a language teacher and researcher, and has worked in several universities in China and Australia. She has taught language and literacy, second language acquisition, English, and theory and practice of language teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels for ten years. She is currently teaching Chinese at School of Languages and Cultures, the University of Sydney.
Lian has comprehensive knowledge of language learning and research in both classroom and adult learning settings. She has publications in the areas of teaching reading comprehension, applying genre analysis in teaching of writing and cross cultural discourse analysis.
Lian Liu holds a Bachelor in English and Language Literacy, and a Master in Education.
