Become a high-performing team member of an Agile Release Train (ART) and learn how to collaborate effectively with other teams. Find out how ART delivers value and what you can do to effectively perform your role using Scrum, Kanban, and XP.

This course is for all members of an Agile team such as developer, tester, business analyst, etc. This course aims to develop capabilities such as working in an iterative and collaborative way, communication, problem solving and taking ownership of commitments.

Completion of this training course will enable you to take the Certified SAFe® Practitioner exam. Access to the online exam is included in the course fee. The examination process and accreditation is organised by a third party.

Aims

This course aims to develop your understanding of Agile practices and how Agile is used in the enterprise. We want you to develop a detailed understanding of how teams can work in a multi agile team environment, how the team roles and responsibilities interrelate, and contribute to the strategic deliverables based on customer value.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • apply SAFe® to scale Lean and Agile development in the enterprise
  • demonstrate knowledge of the Agile team and your role within the Agile Release Train
  • execute iterations and demonstrate value
  • integrate and work with other teams on the Agile Release Train
  • demonstrate knowledge of other teams in the Agile Release Train and identify cross team dependencies
  • participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and help with the creation of PI plans
  • plan iterations with product owners
  • write and groom user stories with product owners.

  • Writing and managing user stories
  • Planning iterations
  • Executing iterations
  • Working with product owners and other members in the Agile Release Train
  • Planning and executing Program Increment (PI)

This course is suitable for:

  • Developers, testers, business analysts, and any other project team members who wants to understand SAFe®
  • Members of Agile Release Train preparing to Launch
  • Project team members who are working in Agile and want to scale Agile practices
  • Project team members new to Agile
  • Support teams, ie infrastructure, security, DevOps, UI/UX experts, solution architects
  • anyone interested in knowing how Agile works at scale.

Delivery style

Delivered as a two-day workshop using various techniques including lectures, visual thinking and simulated practical exercises.

Additional information

CCE will issue you with a Statement of Completion.

This course provides you with eligibility to apply for 15 Professional Development Units (PDUs) with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for PMP, PgMP, and PMI-ACP certifications. This is awarded at the discretion of the external party.
