Stewart Reed has worked at a number of cultural organisations on a paid and volunteer basis including Admiralty House, Art Gallery of NSW, International Conservation Services, Kirribilli House, May Gibb’s Nutcote and the Historic Houses Trust of NSW. He is a member of North Sydney Council’s Historical and Cultural Resources Reference Group.

He co-curated ‘Inspired by May’ at the North Sydney Heritage Centre in 2007/2008. This exhibition celebrated the life of May Gibbs and how she has inspired modern artists with works from members of Bookbinding Exhibitions Australia and the Australia Textile Arts and Surface Design Association.

He is currently working on a number of research projects including the cataloguing of May Gibbs' comic strips.
He has a Master of Art Administration (i.e. museum studies) from the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales.

Elizabeth is in the final stage of her PhD dissertation “Fashioning Women's Identities: Cultural Values, Memory and Embodiment in Renaissance Florence”. This interdisciplinary thesis interprets art-historical and literary evidence through the lens of devotional and cultural history and gender theory. Elizabeth has experience in undergraduate teaching and has worked as part of two research teams, one on understanding and improving intercultural Higher Degree Researchers' experiences, and one on undergraduate engagement with graduate attributes including sustainability and ethics. From 2009 to 2010 she worked as a research assistant on two pedagogical projects and consequently has several publications in Tertiary Education. In 2010 and 2012 she tutored (both face-to-face and in online environments) for an Undergraduate unit ‘The Worlds of Early Modern Europe, 1350-1800’ at Macquarie University. In 2014 she taught at the University of Western Sydney College. In first semester she taught two units (one foundation and one diploma level) on Australian history and culture. These units engaged students in a discussion of human rights, sociology, geography and history, linking Australia’s history to world events and social and political trends. In second semester she taught the foundation unit ‘Text and Communication’ which focused on literary and visual interpretation, critical thinking and writing skills, and the diploma unit ‘Text and Tradition’ which engaged with religious and cultural traditions through canonical literary works of Western civilization from Homer’s Illiad to Cunningham’s The Hours.

Dr Kaye Remington is a practitioner and lecturer, specialising in the planning, management and leadership of complex projects. During her long and varied career in project and senior management, Kaye has worked across many industry sectors, including construction, engineering, defence, manufacturing and public infrastructure; in countries including Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and China. Kaye is the author of three books, several book chapters and academic papers in the field.

Shannon Richards is a Solicitor Advocate at the ODPP. He has been practising law since 2003 and has worked in commercial, government and military legal environments. Shannon was previously a prosecutor with the Office of the Director of Military Prosecutions and joined the ODPP in 2015. He regularly appears in jury trials in the District Court and complex hearings in the Local Court and Children’s Court. Shannon appears in courts martial and Defence Force Magistrate hearings on behalf of the prosecution and defence.

Associate Professor Vivienne Riches (Senior Research Fellow, Psychologist, Clinical Associate Professor) is a registered psychologist and a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Disability Studies. She holds conjoint appointments as Clinical Senior Lecturer, University of Sydney and Clinical Psychologist, Royal Rehabilitation Centre, Sydney. Vivienne has worked as a teacher, a clinical psychologist in rehabilitation, psychologist in private practice, consultant, lecturer and researcher in the disability field for a number of years. Research and development projects have focused on vocational preparation and employment for people with a disability, assessment and classification, support needs assessment, social and interpersonal competence, transition from school to post school for students with disabilities, staff training and Active Support, behavioural support and mental emotional health issues. She has served on several boards for community and employment organisations, has been a member of various professional and government committees, and supervised over 20 intern psychologists. Vivienne’s expertise is well established in assessment, evaluation and intervention including work with forensic populations. Clinical services frequently addressed problems such as depression, anxiety, stress, anger, grief and loss, relationships, abuse, social interpersonal skills, low self esteem, and eating disorders. Vivienne has published more than 100 articles, as well as books, book chapters, research and evaluation reports, and curriculum materials in the disability area, addressing social and interpersonal skills, emotional adjustment, vocational training, employment and transition for people with intellectual disabilities. Her books include Standards of Work Performance (1993), Everyday social interaction: A program for people with disabilities (1996) and Angerwise (2006).

Susanne Richter is a highly motivated and passionate Linguist, who received a 5 year full time postgraduate Magister Artium University degree (equal to the doctorate) in “German as Foreign Language” and “Hispanic studies” in 2007 from the well-known Herder Institute for German Linguistics and the Institute of Romance studies of University Leipzig, Germany.

During a 2 year full time Erasmus exchange University program, Susanne gained extensive intercultural competence at the University Valencia in Spain, where she also won valuable research experience conducting study projects in the field German phonetics for Spanish learners or interviewing spanish students regarding the matter of overcoming linguistic and cultural barriers.

Susanne has not only been teaching since 2008 for the Centre of Continuing Education, The University of Sydney, but also for Corporates like GOOGLE, High Schools and different private Language schools across Sydney. She is an accredited Teacher at “The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)”.

Susanne has the ability to effectively communicate cross culturally and her focus lies on experiential learning, which is an active learning approach. She is constantly determined to create a learning environment of trust and positive vibes for everyone, and to be creative, innovative and diverse in the exercises she is creating, whilst explaining very well complex concepts of grammar. She is convinced that she is learning a lot from her students while being on the journey to become a better Teacher with every day.

Another fun fact to know about her: She is also a dancer and loves the art, beauty and creativity of dance where she also draws inspiration from for her language classes.

Galit Rieder-Ezra holds an MA in Language Teaching & Language Acquisition, a BA in Linguistics & Education, and a Language Teaching Certificate from Tel-Aviv University.

Galit has extensive experience in teaching the Hebrew language and Hebrew literature, both in Israel and in Australia (since 2001), including: Sydney University, various schools, adult education, curriculum design, teacher training and more. She is regularly invited to conferences such as Limmud Oz and the Jewish Educators Conference.

Galit is passionate about the Hebrew language in particular and languages in general as means of developing our thinking, cultural awareness and communication, as well as making connections and to better understand the Bible and ancient prayers from different sources.
