Genevieve Lang has been a professional musician for 13 years, performing regularly with the Sydney, Tasmanian and West Australian symphony orchestras, the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra and with various chamber music ensembles, including the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Virtuosi Tasmania, Halcyon (a contemporary music ensemble), and SHE (Seven Harp Ensemble).

In more recent years, she has been a regular pre-concert speaker for the Sydney and Tasmanian symphony orchestras, in addition to speaking to audiences at chamber music and solo recitals. In 2007, she was the Australian Youth Orchestra’s Music Presentation Fellow, which involved working as a researcher with Andrew Ford’s ‘The Music Show’ for Radio National and as sub-editor at the Sydney Symphony. In 2008-09, she was Symphony Australia’s Artistic Administration Intern, which included a three-month secondment to ABC Classic FM. In addition to performing, her passion is communicating with audiences on additional levels, sharing with them the knowledge and insights gained from many years of working in the profession.

Genevieve is a Senior Project Officer in the Lumos team at the NSW Ministry of Health.

She previously worked as a Project Officer to improve access to outpatient care in Northern Sydney Local Health District, and as a Physiotherapist in Western Sydney Local Health District.

As a Physiotherapist, Genevieve’s main interests were treating patients in the outpatient department and using simple data to run projects that significantly reduced waiting times. Genevieve completed a Master of Public Health in 2019 at Macquarie University.

Raphael Lataster holds a PhD from the University of Sydney, and occasionally lectures there and at other institutions. His main academic research interests include misinformation, disinformation, and fake news, in Health, Politics, and Religion.

Raphael has a Bachelor of Pharmacy, a Masters of Applied Finance, and several postgraduate research degrees in the Arts. Initially focussing his academic efforts around misinformation in Religion, he has shifted focus to misinformation in Politics and Health, particularly COVID-19.

Luciane Lauffer has a BA in Journalism (Brazil), and a Master’s in International Studies from Curtin University (Perth,WA). She worked for several newspapers and some radio stations in Southern Brazil, covering stories on Business and Politics until she moved to Australia in 2001. Luciane also lived in Germany and Canada, and speaks German, Spanish and is trying to improve her French.

Monique is a French and English teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching across different countries and contexts (Alliance Francaise, Universities, Language Schools and Colleges). She holds a Master's degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language, a Graduate Certificate in Learning Design and is currently studying for a Master's in Education. Monique is always looking for new strategies and tools to make her learning more engaging inside and outside the classroom and wants students to have the same enjoyable learning experience whether it is in a face-to-face or online environment.

Natalie Lawand is currently a member of the Honours Program Team at The Scots College Preparatory School. Natalie has close to 10 years of primary experience, teaching in mixed ability, cluster and ‘pull out’ gifted classrooms. She has completed post-graduate studies in Gifted Education and has presented at a GERRIC school holiday program for gifted students known as Small Poppies. Natalie is passionate about nurturing the interests and talents of able children by providing a program that is both rigorous and rich in complexity.

Gaelle Le Brech holds numerous qualifications including a BA (Foreign Language, Literature & Civilisation) and an MA (English Literature) from the University Nantes, France as well as French teaching qualifications through the National French Teaching School (IUFM), France. Gaelle has taught in France and Britain and since moving to Sydney has been employed as a community college teacher/tutor.

John brings a wealth of business, management, IT, consultancy and training experience to many of the professional development courses on offer at CCE. This experience has included senior corporate and general management roles in American, British and Chinese multinationals, as well as consultancies for several leading UK and Irish management firms. His consulting projects have covered advanced practice studies in leadership, sales & customer service processes, strategic sourcing, human resource models and organisational issues. These projects have been undertaken in North & South America, Europe and China. His international client list includes Procter & Gamble, Red Bull, Johnson & Johnson, SC Johnson, Eli Lilly, Roche, Mitsubishi, Vodafone/ Hutchison Telecoms, Danone, Heineken, BOC/ Linde, Boehringer Ingelheim, British Government and Qantas. John also works for an Australian consulting firm, Newfocus, conducting projects in the government and Not-For-Profit sectors. John has been involved in projects at PwC and Macquarie University.

John is currently undertaking a M. Phil/ PhD and holds a Master of Business Administration (with Distinction), Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction), majors in Psychology and Statistics, sub-majors in Accounting and Economics; Diplomas in Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Project Management; Digital Badge in Advanced Analytics, Graduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching, and Certificate IVs in Competitive Manufacturing (Lean) and Training and Assessment. John has been awarded the highest qualification by The Australian Research Society, namely Qualified Professional Researcher. John is an accredited Sydney Lifeline counsellor, where he also trained counsellors for more than 20 years.

John has lectured in Bachelor of Business at Torrens University, Master of Business Analytics at Kaplan Business School and Master of Community Development offered through Southern Cross University (SCBIT Sydney campus). John has been an Executive Coach at UNSW, where he has also been a guest lecturer in marketing and change management. He has taught 1st year statistics at UTS (Insearch) and Macquarie University (Navitas) and delivered IT training in corporate settings for 30 years.
