Sandra Santos

Sandra Santos is a native speaker of Portuguese with a BA in Portuguese and English. A qualified teacher, she has taught Portuguese in Brazil, her home country, and has been teaching Portuguese as a second language in Sydney for over 15 years.

Tatiana Sapolkova

Originally from Moscow, Tatiana Sapolkova has a Bachelor of Law with Honours from Moscow University of Commerce and a degree in Graphic Design from Parkland College, Illinois, USA. She also holds a TESOL certificate from the University of NSW . Tatiana taught Russian in the USA and has worked with the Centre for Continuing Education since 2002. She returns to Russia every year to attend seminars and workshops organized by leading Russian universities for teachers of Russian as a second language, and to meet with educational publishers about the newest Russian language resources. She also develops many of the teaching materials which are used in classes. She has an abiding interest in Russian literature, culture and art.

Tracey Sareff

Tracey has been passionately interested in adult education for over twenty years. She facilitated learning at an international investment bank before returning to her true home – studying and teaching Jewish civilisation and culture. She is a lifelong student of Jewish texts and has formalised her knowledge with study in Hebrew, Biblical studies and Jewish civilization, at Sydney University. Her special passions are pluralism in Judaism, Jewish gender, Kabbala, and finding relevance for biblical narratives in our daily lives. These interests are reflected in her Honours thesis on Asherah.

Jonathan Saurine has more than fifteen years experience as an educator in secondary, vocational and higher education sectors. Originally educated as a scientist, Jonathan now teaches across a wide range of disciplines and areas including business education, leadership, study skills, philosophy and music.

Noel Scaife

Noel Scaife is an MYOB Certified Consultant and holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. He has been teaching computer courses at private colleges, TAFE, and Community Colleges since 1991, and began training in MYOB in 1996. Prior to this, Noel worked as a computer analyst & programmer on commercial applications. He is now engaged in MYOB training and consulting, and provides bookkeeping and BAS services to clients.

Camilla Scanlan

Camilla brings a wealth of knowledge and relevant experience to this exciting workshop at University of Sydney’s Centre for Continuing Education. She has a PhD (USyd) that focused on ethics and decision-making in high risk settings, a Master of Health Law (USyd), an MBA from AGSM, industry experience, a long history of research (qualitative), several years in academia, and she has her own small consulting company.

Camilla has been teaching subjects relating to creative & critical thinking to business students for the past 5 years.

Anat Schechter-Vidor

Anat Shechter-Twina was raised in Petach Tikva, Israel. She is 7th generation Israeli and the great granddaughter of Dr Menachem Stein, the first Jewish doctor in Israel, co-founder of Neveh Tzedek, founder of the first Hebrew school, kindergarten and hospital in Israel and member of the 22 Biluyim (The first Zionist group to make Aliyah to Israel in 1882). After completing her IDF service, Anat was sent in 1995 as a Betar/Community Shlicha to QLD by the Jewish Agency and served there for a term of 3 years. Before returning to Australia in 2005, she worked in Israel as the spokesperson for the Israeli Heritage Society. To maintain her passion for writing, she writes travel features from the Asia Pacific region to the Travel Section of Israel’s largest daily newspaper, Yedioth Acharonot. Anat has a BA in Archeology and Jewish History from Hebrew University and a MA in Communications specialising in public relations from Bond University. Currently Anat works as the Executive Director of WIZO NSW.
