Ida Rohne

Ida Rohne has a Master of Teaching in TESOL from the University of Sydney. She has nine years experience teaching ESL to stages 4, 5 and 6 in high school, and English for Academic Purposes at university. Ida’s background is in linguistics, writing, journalism, education and curriculum development. She also has experience teaching foreign languages in high school and at university, as well as teaching English as a Foreign Language overseas. Ida’s main interests are languages, literature and film.

Aden Rolfe

Aden Rolfe is a writer and radiomaker who’s had sound collages and radioplays broadcast on ABC Radio National. He’s written for community and youth theatre and is a past recipient of Sydney Theatre Company’s Young Playwrights' Award. In 2006 he completed a production internship with the Radio Arts department of ABC Radio National and he works as a freelance producer for the station. He regularly appears at festivals and conferences, such as the Emerging Writers' Festival. He recently chaired a Writing for Radio roundtable at the National Young Writers' Festival as part of This is Not Art in Newcastle. Aden works professionally as a copywriter and editor, and is currently writing a new play for ABC Radio National.

Stuart Rollo

Stuart is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for International Security Studies at the University of Sydney, currently working on the centre's Quantum Meta-Ethics project. Stuart has designed and taught several undergraduate and postgraduate courses on international relations, history, and global security. His research focuses on geopolitics, imperial history, and the US-China relationship. He writes regularly on international affairs, politics, technology, and cultural issues in global media. Stuart's latest book Terminus: Westward Expansion, China, and the End of American Empire (2023) is a sweeping narrative of America's imperial history and its long entanglement with China.

Marc Rosenberg

Resume

Marc Rosenberg has been an active member of the international film industry for over thirty years. As a screenwriter, he has won Australian Writer’s Guild Awards for the films Dingo (starring Miles Davis) and December Boys (starring Daniel ‘Harry Potter’ Radcliffe).

Marc has produced three of the seven films he has written. His last movie, Elevator, was made in the US and has sold all over the world. As an academic, Marc has taught screenwriting and film production at a number of universities in the United States, India, Norway and Australia.

Monica Rosenfeld

Monica Rosenfeld is a business owner and PR expert, speaker and trainer. Monica is the founder and managing director of WordStorm PR, a boutique sized PR agency working to magnify the message of entrepreneurial driven and not-for-profit agencies. She thrives on ‘magnifying the message’ of her clients as well as demystifying the media through speaking engagements, workshops and training sessions.

Edna Ross

Dr Edna Ross, BSc(Hons) MA PhD (Psychology), has worked as a lecturer, research consultant, policy analyst, human rights activist, group facilitator and life coach. All her work has included adult education and facilitation of group discussion. These skills have been further refined by her internship with the US-based Sage-ing® International, where she qualified as a Certified Sage-ing Leader in 2008. She has practised yoga and meditation for over 20 years and is a student of Buddhism and other contemplative traditions.

Anna Rothbart

Anna Rothbart completed a BSc (hons) degree in the UK before going on to complete a post-graduate degree in Education. She taught high school Science and senior level Biology and Chemistry in the UK for 4 years before moving to Sydney in 2009. Here, she has been teaching Science and HSC Biology at a selective school. Anna has been an HSC Biology marker and is keen to use this experience to teach examination technique along with content to help students tailor their answers to the question.

Gillian Rowling

Gill is an experienced Stage 6 teacher and has been teaching Mathematics for over 10 years. She has been Mathematics Coordinator at LaSalle Catholic College and Assistant Head of Department at Waverley College. As well as mentoring and providing professional development to other Stage 6 Mathematics teachers, she has also run Talented Student HSC workshops for the Catholic Education Office, assisting in preparing students for HSC examinations.

Gill holds a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) degree, with honours, and a double major in Mathematics and Chemistry. She has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Education and a Masters of Education (Educational Psychology). She is acredited by NESA as a Proficient Teacher and has been a member of the Mathematical Association of NSW and the Metropolitan East Mathematics Head Teachers Association. Gill is passionate about mathematics and about education and loves assisting students in making connections across different areas of mathematics.
