Xiaowei specialises in language teaching. She obtained her BA from Huazhong (Central China) Normal University, Postgraduate Diploma from Hunan Normal University and MA from the University of New South Wales. She joined the Centre for Continuing Education in 2002 and has been teaching Mandarin courses at all levels. She has been teaching, supervising and coordinating Chinese programs at various universities in Sydney, including University of Technology, Sydney, University of New South Wales, University of Sydney and University of Western Sydney. Currently, Xiaowei teaches and coordinates senior units of Chinese language programs at the Department of Chinese Studies, University of Sydney. Agnieszka has been teaching Polish at The Polish School of Sydney in Randwick since 2010 and Centre for Continuing Education Sydney University since 2011. Agnes holds an MA in Applied Linguistics (teaching and translating in English and Russian) from Warsaw University and a Certificate in Teaching Polish as a Second Language from Klub Dialogu in Warsaw, Poland.
After graduating from university, Agnes studied Russian at the Pushkin Institute in Moscow, Russia. Her teaching experience involves working with different age groups and levels of English and Polish. She is a certified NAATI translator (English-Russian) involved in a number of cultural and charity projects (exhibitions, radio programmes, charity organisations and NGO projects) with publications in both Australia and Europe.
