Paul Yacobellis


A practicing data scientist for the past 15 years, Paul Yacobellis brings a depth of knowledge to the Introduction to R course. He also has a passion for reading and writing about personal productivity on his blog site how2bproductive.com. This passion has carried over into the facilitation space and Paul now delivers courses and training focused on personal productivity.

He has experience in data mining and big data analytics, statistical computing, economic/econometric consulting, spatial statistics and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), transport modelling, business development. He has consulted with government agencies, private corporations, and universities.

He has taught statistics, mathematics, economics, and computer science at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

Paul has completed a Master’s in Statistical Computing (Data Mining track) in 2012 and a Bachelors of Science in Economics and Mathematics.

When not thinking about or writing R code, Paul enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, running long distances, reading self-help books, meeting new and interesting people (including you), skiing, and writing about personal productivity.
