Adam Myers

Adam is a senior English Teacher at Shore. He has worked there for over fifteen years, and has regularly delivered Year 12 Holiday Workshops. These workshops have helped students revise content, understand course requirements, and enhance their responses.

Prior to his appointment at Shore, Adam was the Co-ordinator of Junior English at Toowoomba Grammar School. Additionally, he was a Year 12 Creative Writing Marker for the QCST (Queensland Core Skills Test), President of the Darling Downs Chapter of ETAQ (English Teachers' Association of Queensland), and a member of the B-35 English Regional Review Panel (Darling Downs).

In 2000, he graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Arts (Double Major in English Literature, plus a Minor in History), and a Bachelor of Education.

As an educator, Adam is deeply interested in encouraging his students' critical thinking: questioning cycle, evidence selection, and identification of assumptions. Furthermore, he endeavours to help students' develop their problem solving skills: guiding questions, empathy with multiple perspectives, and innovation based upon research.

We acknowledge the tradition of custodianship and law of the Country on which the University of Sydney campuses stand. We pay our respects to those who have cared and continue to care for the Country.
