Craig Barker
Profile
Dr Craig Barker is an archaeologist and the Head of Public Engagement and Education for the Chau Chak Wing Museum at the University of Sydney. This includes the Nicholson Collection which houses Australia’s largest collection of antiquities from the region.
Craig has a PhD in Classical archaeology and years of teaching and archaeological research experience. He has excavated in Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and Australia, and is the Director of the University of Sydney’s Paphos Theatre Archaeological Project in Paphos, Cyprus.
Craig appears monthly on ABC radio for the ‘Can You Dig It’ segment and has published widely on a range of archaeological topics. He has presented many courses for CCE over the years.
