Art is widely recognised as an important tool for helping people feel better. Using a mix of simple art activities, writing and discussion, you’ll experience a unique way to explore, restore and transform your life in this introductory art therapy course.

Be enriched as you experiment with paint, pastels and clay in a playful and supportive environment. Learn to navigate your life with art from your heart.

This experiential course aims to give you direct, hands-on experience of the ways art making can be used to reflect on your life.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • describe basic art therapy theory
  • manipulate simple art materials and use them in guided activities as a vehicle to explore and reflect on your life
  • identify the value and benefits of using art-making as a tool to explore, monitor and express your thoughts and feelings.
