Level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

This course further explores the grammatical structure of the Arabic language and continues to develop your vocabulary skills through various reading, writing and speaking exercises.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Recognise the sentence complements agreement.
  2. Negate the past.
  3. Recognise the agreement that governs the 3 endings of the present.
  4. Increase their vocabulary by an additional 1000 words.
  5. Employ extra expressions for special occasions.
  6. Communicate and discuss materials spoken slowly.
  7. Read and comprehend unvocalised articles and simple short stories.
  8. Write a summary of an essay or a story.

Content

This course covers the following topics:

  • Returning home
  • Similarity
  • Demonstrative pronouns
  • Negating the past
  • Present tense ending agreement
  • Sentence complements

Intended Audience

Suitable for B1 level students, those who have completed all levels of Arabic up to 302 or who have completed 245 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.

Delivery Style

This course is delivered as a series of interactive workshops where active participation is encouraged.

Resources will be provided to cover all topics.
