Debbie is a brand strategist, speaker and educator who has spent more than 20 years helping businesses build brands with genuine personality.Â
Her workshops and training draw on extensive agency experience and a psychology-based framework. Participants develop the theory of branding, marketing and communications, as well as practical examples they can apply immediately. Â
Known for her warmth and storytelling, Debbie has a gift for making branding more accessible for business owners and teams, showing them how to move beyond logos and build brand strategy, brand culture, brand voice and memorable customer experiences that drive loyalty and growth.Â
For 22 years, Debbie was the Founder and Creative Director of White River Design, a multi-award-winning branding studio, before selling the agency in 2024 to focus on brand strategy, consulting and education through her company Brand Magic. Â
Over her career she has worked with businesses ranging from SMEs to major brands including Westfield, Microsoft, Swarovski, Gloria Jeans and McDonald's. She has delivered brand strategy, creative direction and integrated campaigns across professional services, local government, IT, hospitality and not-for-profit sectors. Â
She is also the founder of The Creative Fringe, a coworking and events space in Penrith, and the creator of the Brand Personalities system and online archetype test, taken by over 4,000 people across 39 countries.Â
Debbie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Graphic Design and Photography) from Stellenbosch University and a Certificate IV in Business Development. She has also completed the Speak Like TED and Plus Eight Pre-Accelerator programs. Â
Debbie is the Amazon #1 bestselling author of Brand Magic – How to Build a Brand with Personality, a guest expert on Kochie's Business Builders, and a university guest lecturer. Â
Her work has been widely recognised with honours including NSW Women of the Year (Mulgoa, 2017), a Stevie Gold Award, the Western Sydney Innovation Award, and Penrith Businessperson of the Year (2012, 2017 and 2022).
