Dr Alison Cardinale is an experienced secondary English teacher with a B.A. (Hons) in English Literature and a Master of Teaching qualification from the University of Sydney along with a PhD in Romantic poetry from ANU. Alison holds a Graduate Diploma in Communications from the University of Technology.

Over the past decade, Alison has taught in a range of Sydney independent schools including Queenwood School for Girls, PLC Sydney and, most recently, The Scots College. Alison has experience teaching the International Baccalaureate alongside senior English courses including Extension. Additionally, Alison has recent experience in HSC marking at Advanced and Extension levels.

In 2017, Alison lectured at the University of Sydney for ETA HSC student days. Currently, she is an academic tutor at the University of Sydney in the Master of Teaching English course ‘Senior Curriculum’. Her educational philosophy is based on a student-centred approach supported by deep subject knowledge and understanding of syllabus objectives. Sharing passionate engagement with English literature and language in a manner that empowers students and fosters independent inquiry is integral to Alison’s approach to learning and curriculum delivery.
