Level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

This introductory Korean course continues on from the material covered in Korean 101 Beginner's Course. You will learn how to introduce yourself, meet and greet others, describe your day, discuss the past and the future, and start to develop your verbal and communication skills.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

• describe your day-to-day activities
• talk about activities in the past, using past tense
• share information and directions about how to get to places
• use proper prepositions in relation to location
• describe different types of transportation.

Content

• Daily routines and places where activities take place, eg 'I read a book in the library'
• Past events and future plans
• Discussing one’s experiences
• Asking and answering questions about directions
• Using transportation

Intended audience

Suitable for A1 level participants, those who have completed Korean 101, or those who have completed 20 hours of recent tuition.

Delivery style

Delivered as a series of interactive workshops where active participation is encouraged.

Based on chapters 3-6 of the above texts. These texts are used for activities and form the basis for consolidation and practice.
