Philip Quadrio

Resume

Philip Andrew Quadrio is an academic philosopher with strong interests in crime and criminology. He completed his PhD in philosophy at the University of Sydney in 2006, and completed a Masters of Criminology at the University of Sydney in 2014. He writes on ethics, social theory, political philosophy, history of philosophy and philosophy of religion. Philip also has a strong interest in film, particularly crime films, he teaches Philosophy of Film with Open Universities Australia. Philip lives in the Blue Mountains area with his wife, children and pets.

Terry Quanborough

Terry Quanborough has significant experience in project management practices, working with major corporations and government departments. He previously managed an Asia Pacific Project Management Office for a large multi-national and has travelled extensively on project-related assignments. His main focus areas include Project Management-related training, Project Health Checks/Reviews and Governance, Project Methodology plus the Establishment of Effective Project Management Offices.

Terry is a speaker at international project management conferences and seminars, and has written several Project Management related papers. He is a founder member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) Sydney Chapter, serving as a Board Director for 5 years, and is also a recipient of the PMI® Australia Chapters' “Distinguished Contribution Award”.

Felipe Quinto Da Luz

Felipe Luz is a clinical psychologist with practical and research experience specialising in the field of obesity and eating disorders. Felipe has an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Clinical degree in cognitive-behaviour psychotherapy and Masters degree in clinical psychology in Brazil. Currently, Felipe is developing his PhD researches at The University of Sydney, in The Boden Institute of Obesity, Nutrition, Exercise & Eating Disorders. Felipe is currently studying if very low energy diets for the treatment of obesity can cause eating disorder symptoms, as well as, psychotherapy for obese individuals with eating disorders.

Marc Rader

Originally from Canada, Marc settled in Australia in 1997. An engaging and experienced communicator, Marc currently divides his time between Gymea Baptist Church where he is the Preaching & Teaching pastor, and Morling College where he teaches Advanced Preaching and Biblical Studies. Marc is currently completing a doctoral project focused on the development of preachers through multi-source feedback. He has recently conducted workshops on communication for staff at The Scots College.

Timothy Rafferty

Tim has a diverse range of experience in the fields of biblical studies and ancient history. He is currently completing a PhD at the University of Sydney, where he gained his undergraduate and honours degrees. He has also completed studies in Dead Sea Scrolls research at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and archaeology the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he participated in a number of archaeological projects throughout Israel.

For the past seven years, Tim has worked as a lecturer and tutor in the Department of Hebrew, Biblical and Jewish Studies at the University of Sydney, as well as providing talks for high school students and the general public. He loves sharing his enthusiasm for the Bible and its history through his teaching and his aim is to make the Bible accessible and interesting to those from any background, whether religious or not.

Rekha Rajvanshi

Rekha Rajvanshi is a DEC schoolteacher, Hindi writer and poet. She has studied Hindi and Sanskrit at graduate level and has a Masters in Psychology and Education. Rekha has taught Hindi to adults at Parramatta College, Hindi Beginners and Continuers to HSC students at the Saturday School of Community Languages (Seven Hills) and Indo-Aust. Bal Bharati Vidyalaya, Thornleigh since 2002.

Rekha is a NAATI accredited English-Hindi translator and won a prestigious national level AUSIT award for translating dreamtime animation films from English into Hindi. She also contributed segments for SBS Hindi Radio. Rekha is a well-known Hindi poet with 4 published books, and was invited by Sahitya Akademi, India (The National Academy of Letters) to represent Australia in a poetry festival, ‘Waves 2014’.

Rolando Ramos

Rolando Ramos is a multimedia and website developer with extensive experience in creation and development of solutions for the presentation of content in interactive environments. He has been a presenter for the CCE since March 2000 in subjects ranging from web development and design to multimedia and video editing applications and practices. He is also a multimedia producer and director. Rolando also works as a personal consultant and tutor covering the subjects outlined above.

Rolando holds a Bachelor degree in Arts/Drama. His creative career started as an actor and theatre director, and as part of that practice he was introduced into 3d animation techniques that naturally developed into a visual design and manipulation practice. As a creative and curious individual, learning has always been part of Rolando’s outlook. Web development is a constantly changing environment and that applies perfectly to his skills set and personality.

Sue Ramsay

Sue is an internationally recognised practitioner of CPTED. She is a Director of the International CPTED Association (ICA), a Registered SafeGrowth Advocate and Practitioner, and a member of the New Zealand Australia Society of Criminology (ANZSOC).

Sue practices CPTED in the unique post-earthquake rebuild of Christchurch and has completed hundreds of CPTED assessments in the past five years.

Lucy Rasheed

Lucy Rasheed graduated in 2006 from The University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Education/ Drama Specialist degree, and has since taught drama in various educational settings including Australia, London and Sri Lanka. Lucy has also obtained an Advanced Diploma in Acting at the London School of Dramatic Arts and continues to work in the industry. Lucy is currently teaching Specialised Drama courses at Pembroke School, Adelaide, aimed at providing learning experiences that encourages independence and creative expression. Her company LER Productions is also performing workshops based on her ‘SeaStar Rock’ children’s CD. Lucy’s dedication to ‘The Arts’ has allowed her to help children appreciate the power of their imagination in promoting positive changes within themselves, and improving their learning.
