Maria Carolina Bosemberg Corso

Carolina is a Colombian Spanish teacher who moved to Australia in 2016 from her hometown, Bogotá. She is passionate about languages and her knowledge of different levels of Spanish, English, German, Portuguese and French helps her to understand her students' language learning journey. Carolina holds a BA in Modern Languages and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics (Spanish) from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia. From 2011 to 2015, she worked at the same institution teaching English and Spanish.

Since her arrival in Australia, Carolina has worked as a private tutor, as well as a Spanish teacher at both the Adelaide Spanish School and Exploring Spanish SA. She also worked as a tutor in Programs for Aboriginal Engagement at the University of Adelaide and Flinders University. As a volunteer, she has been actively involved in the Spanish Teachers' Association of South Australia as President, Committee Member and workshop presenter. Her decade of teaching has been full of rewarding experiences and continuous learning about what teaching is. Teachers never stop learning!

Carolina enjoys working along with students to help them accomplish their goals through fun and engaging classes, whilst also covering the important concepts they will need for their Spanish to be more versatile as they go. As travelling is another of her passions, she enjoys learning from other cultures and helping students understand various features of the Spanish speaking culture.
