Carolina is a Colombian Spanish teacher who moved to Australia in 2016 from her hometown, Bogotá. She is passionate about languages and her knowledge of different levels of Spanish, English, German, Portuguese and French helps her to understand her students' language learning journey. Carolina holds a BA in Modern Languages and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics (Spanish) from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia. Between 2011 to 2015, she worked at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana teaching English and Spanish.
Since moving to Australia, Carolina has worked as a private tutor and Spanish teacher at the Adelaide Spanish School and Exploring Spanish SA, as well as the University of Adelaide and Flinders University in various roles. As a volunteer, she has been actively involved in the Spanish Teachers' Association of South Australia as president, committee member and workshop presenter.
Carolina enjoys helping students accomplish their goals by making her classes fun and engaging, whilst covering important concepts needed to learn a new language. As travelling is one of her main passions, she enjoys learning about other cultures and sharing this information with her classes.
