Benedetto Passaretti

Resume

Growing up in Sardinia, an island where the Italian language coexists with Sardinian and various minority languages, Benedetto has always appreciated the richness inherent in multilingualism. He holds a B.A. and M.A. in Modern Languages and Literatures from the University of Udine, specialising in the literature and linguistics of English and German speaking countries. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in Australian Literature at the University of Sydney.

Benedetto has been teaching Italian since 2014, as a private tutor, an intern at the University of Sydney and a teacher at the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney. As a keen language learner himself, Benedetto is aware of the challenges and invaluable rewards that come with the discovery of a new language. The rules, sounds and the untranslatable meanings each one manages to convey. Benedetto likes to create a friendly and stimulating environment in his classes, making the experience of learning a language interactive and playful.
