Luke is an acting Assistant Principal at a behaviour school specialling in Emotional and Behavioural disorders.
Luke has been teaching for 8 years and in that time has taught Kindergarten to year 6, in both London and in Sydney. Even before entering the teaching field Luke worked as a Learning support officer in a variety of schools which is where he developed his passion for working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. He has taught in London and Sydney. In London he taught at number of schools that had students requiring high needs of behaviour support.
For the past 5 years Luke has been working in a unit that is for children with emotional and behavioural disorders, that is in partnership with Coral Tree Family service. Throughout this time he has worked as a classroom teacher and as part of a multiple disciplinary team made up of education and health professionals to provide children and families with the support and assistance in dealing with behavioural difficulties.
Luke enjoys working with the children in the school, as well as providing support to mainstream teachers and schools that the children attend during and beyond their placement at the unit. He enjoys working with the children, staff and families to provide a safe, secure and happy environment.
