Do you want a new job? In this course, you will learn how to create a standout resume and LinkedIn profile, and how to use LinkedIn to get meetings and referrals. You will also hear expert tips on finding a role at a company where you will be happy.

By the end of the course, you will be confident in applying for the jobs that you are really excited about, and you will have materials that are more likely to get noticed by hiring managers and recruiters.

Aims

In this course, we will:

  • show you how to identify your unique story and communicate this through your resume and LinkedIn profile
  • give you insider knowledge on what recruiters look for in a resume
  • tell you how you can get noticed by recruiters and get them to call you back
  • structure your job search for maximum effectiveness.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • identify your core values and career goals to enable you to decide what is next in your career
  • tell your story through a tailored resume and a compelling LinkedIn profile
  • identify the right companies and jobs to apply for
  • use your network to get valuable information, job leads, and introductions to your target companies
  • research your target companies and use that information to your advantage during the job search
  • create a simple strategy for applying to and tracking your job applications.

Delivery style

Delivered as an interactive workshop, through a variety of methods including:

  • small group discussions
  • role plays and simulations
  • Q&A sessions with the workshop facilitator.
